Meet your teachers
Charu Srikanth
Charu Srikant has been immersed in the rich cultural heritage of India with a modern outlook and has developed into a passionate and knowledgeable educator. She is now an enthusiastic member of the Gurukula team, regularly contributing towards the Gurukula Learning Portal, conducting live Mahabharata storytelling sessions. She also teaches the Shloka classes and the Hanuman Chalisa. Charu bhagini has been teaching Bharatiiya Samskriti to kids for over a decade.
Akhila Rao
Akhila Rao is a passionate student of Bharatiya Samskriti. Apart from learning Samskritam for the last 4 years, she has been spreading Indian stories through the Gurukula app. Her varied skills include translation of stories into Kannada, proofreading of Samskritam stories, coaching new Samskritam students and teaching Mahabharata and Shlokas.
Sreelakshmi Chaupalli
Sreelakshmi Chaupalli is a Samskritam teacher and a storyteller. She has been learning/teaching Samskritam for the last 5 years. She is an enterprising storyteller with a passion to write and narrate Mahabharata stories. Sreelakshmi lives in Tampa and is a proud mother of two children.
Akila Krishnakumar
Akila Krishnakumar is a storyteller, who uses stories as an intuitive, creative and reflective medium for both children and adults. Trained in Indian classical music and being an art enthusiast with paints and pencils, she incorporates them as expressive art mediums into her storytelling program with children to create a make-believe, educative space.
Sai Harshini
Sai Harshini is a Samskritam student and a Mahabharata teacher. At just 17, she started teaching Mahabharata via Kahoot games to kids. As a full fledged course teacher, she relates to the kids in a way that most adults cannot. She also does story and comic writing, proofreading at Gurukula.
